Special Education Teacher in Hoquiam, WA

Requirements and Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Previous experience working with elementary students preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Ability to adapt lessons to various learning styles and abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Collaborative approach when working with fellow educators, specialists, and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and tailor lesson plans to meet individual student needs
• Implement IEPs, and track student progress toward academic and behavioral goals
• Foster an inclusive, nurturing classroom environment
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings
• Work closely with general education staff to adapt instruction and ensure student success
• Communicate regularly with families and support networks
