Special Education Teacher in Hudson, WI

A rewarding opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher ready to support kindergarten through second-grade students in a nurturing educational environment. This full-time, contract position covers the upcoming school year—beginning August 27th and extending through June 6th—offering a chance to make a real impact on young learners with mild to moderate needs.

This role focuses on a group of 10 students and requires a versatile educator with a cross-categorical Wisconsin teaching license. You’ll collaborate with colleagues, adapt instruction, and ensure that every child receives individualized support and encouragement.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Holds a valid cross-categorical Wisconsin Special Education teaching license
• Experienced working with students in kindergarten through 2nd grade
• Skilled at modifying curriculum for students with mild to moderate exceptionalities
• Demonstrates strong organizational, communication, and collaboration abilities
• Comfortable supporting a range of learning needs within a small classroom setting

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Use evidence-based instructional strategies tailored to each student
• Track student progress, adjust teaching methods, and provide regular feedback to parents and team members
• Engage with families to foster a supportive network and address student needs
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom where every child feels valued
