This contract opportunity calls for dedicated Special Education Teachers eager to create a positive impact working onsite with students who have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD), or Emotional Behavioral Disorders (EBD). Enjoy teaching in well-supported environments mapped conveniently to either Lino Lakes or Columbus area elementary schools. You’ll collaborate with fellow professionals and provide individualized instruction, fostering growth and independence for every student.

Qualifications:

  • Active Minnesota Special Education Teaching Certification is required (please provide certification and updated resume when applying)
  • Experience with elementary-aged students with ASD, DCD, or EBD preferred
  • Strong understanding of IEP development, documentation, and implementation
  • Adept at behavior management and differentiated instruction
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with staff and families

Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction for a designated caseload, tailoring lessons and supports to student needs
  • Develop and implement IEPs in compliance with state and federal guidelines
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to ensure student success
  • Collect data and monitor student progress, making timely adjustments as needed
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians on student progress and strategies
  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development as required
