Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Minnesota Special Education Teaching Certification (required; must be provided with your resume for consideration)
  • Willingness and ability to work on an as-needed, strictly on-call basis
  • Experience or adaptability with diverse student populations spanning early childhood through high school
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Positive, collaborative attitude and a commitment to inclusive education

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide instruction and support to students with special needs, following lesson plans and IEPs as provided
  • Collaborate with school staff to ensure seamless transitions and continuity of learning during teacher absences
  • Manage classroom environments and foster a supportive, respectful atmosphere
  • Adapt readily to varying assignments, settings, and grade levels as required by each call-in request
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and follow established school procedures
