Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid state teaching certification in Special Education
• Experience working in high school special education settings
• Deep understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Skill in adapting curriculum and instruction for diverse learners
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Ability to foster inclusive and supportive classroom environments

Responsibilities:

• Provide push-in support within general education classrooms to high school students with special needs
• Implement and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in coordination with staff and families
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and specialists to promote student success and access to curriculum
• Collect data, track student progress, and document interventions and outcomes
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and team members about goals and progress
• Participate in required meetings, professional development, and ongoing training to stay current on best practices in special education
• Maintain an organized schedule, working Monday through Thursday from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm
