Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification (required).
• Experience working with high school students, particularly those on the autism spectrum, is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and modification.
• Ability to assess student needs and adapt instruction accordingly.
• Patient, compassionate, and collaborative work ethic.
• Willingness to assist with toileting needs as required.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support to students with autism in a high school setting.
• Develop, modify, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, related service providers, and families to ensure students' educational and developmental needs are met.
• Monitor and document student progress, applying data-driven adjustments as needed.
• Support students with daily tasks, including possible toileting assistance.
• Foster a respectful and inclusive classroom environment that promotes independence and self-advocacy.
