Key Qualifications:
- Maryland Special Education Certification for K-12 required
- Strongly preferred: Maryland Vice Principal or SPED Supervisor Certification
- Proven experience with IEP development and implementation
- Demonstrated ability to supervise or mentor instructional teams
- Familiarity with MSDE compliance and best practices
- Supervisory experience in elementary and/or middle school settings
Your Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Lower/Middle School Director to develop and supervise educational programs for grades K-8
- Supervise instructional teams, supporting ongoing professional growth and effective teaching strategies
- Oversee the implementation of IEPs and development of student schedules
- Serve as a resource for teachers, students, and families, promoting a positive and inclusive school culture
- Monitor and ensure compliance with MSDE requirements and relevant school policies
- Engage proactively with staff, providing support and guidance to enhance student outcomes
