Two Special Education Resource Teachers are needed to deliver personalized learning experiences for middle schoolers, helping them achieve their individual goals and reach their full potential. Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience working in middle school or with students in grades 6-8
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Excellent communication skills with students, parents, and staff
• Ability to collaborate with general education teachers and support staff
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and respectful classroom culture

Position Responsibilities:

• Develop and adapt lesson plans according to individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Provide targeted instruction to students in a resource setting from 7:50 a.m. to 3:10 p.m.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate updates with families
• Support students with diverse learning needs, both academically and emotionally
• Collaborate with school staff to integrate students into general education classrooms as appropriate
• Participate in meetings, professional development, and initiatives supporting special education best practices
