Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teaching License for Indiana (or ability to obtain)
• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field required; Master’s degree preferred
• Previous experience working with students in special education settings (K-12), including developing and implementing IEPs
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, modify, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs
• Adapt lessons and classroom activities to accommodate individualized learning styles and abilities
• Collaborate with general educators, parents, and service providers to ensure comprehensive support for each student
• Track and assess student progress, maintaining accurate records and sharing updates with families and team members
• Create a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment where students are encouraged to succeed
• Participate in ongoing professional development and school meetings as required
