In this travel assignment, positions are available for both Life Skills and Structured Teach (Autism Support) specialists. You’ll strengthen your professional foundation and make meaningful connections with students who benefit deeply from your expertise—all while experiencing the excitement of a new city.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification (State of Indiana)
- Moderate Intervention certification (required for Life Skills Teacher)
- Mild Intervention certification (required for Structured Teach/Autism Support Teacher)
- Experience with structured environments and individualized instruction preferred
- Dedication to fostering student independence and success
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for a caseload of approximately 10–15 students
- Provide academic, behavioral, and functional life skills support (7:20 a.m. – 3:10 p.m. for Life Skills; 8:20 a.m. – 4:10 p.m. for Autism Support)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families
- Track and document student progress
- Utilize best practices in lesson planning and classroom management
