What You’ll Do:
- Deliver targeted instruction that aligns with each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals
- Design and adapt lesson plans to address diverse learning and behavioral needs
- Foster a therapeutic, structured, and nurturing classroom climate
- Liaise closely with therapists, behavior specialists, and support personnel to ensure consistent interventions
- Accurately monitor and document student progress, recommending adjustments as needed
- Maintain open communication with families and staff to support each learner’s growth and wellbeing
What We’re Looking For:
- Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher
- Experience in a therapeutic, behavioral, or alternative school setting highly valued
- Proven ability to manage classrooms and implement effective behavior interventions
- Skilled in building strong, positive relationships with students and colleagues
- Open to teaching at the middle school (grades 6–8) or high school (grades 9–12) level based on experience and preference
