Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teaching certification (or eligibility for certification)
• Previous experience working with students in a K-6 setting, especially in resource or self-contained classrooms
• Strong knowledge of differentiated instructional methods and IEP implementation
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with staff, families, and students
• Patient, adaptable, and committed to fostering a positive learning atmosphere for diverse learners

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver individualized instruction tailored to students’ unique needs in resource or self-contained classroom settings
• Create and maintain a supportive, structured environment that promotes academic and social-emotional growth
• Monitor, document, and report students’ progress toward IEP goals, making data-driven instructional adjustments as needed
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and other support staff to provide a cohesive educational experience
• Engage with parents and guardians to share progress and involve them in the educational process
• Participate in school meetings, professional development, and other activities as required
