Special Education Teacher in Irvine, CA

What You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field (Master’s preferred)
• Active California teaching credential with appropriate Special Education authorization
• Experience teaching students with moderate/severe or mild/moderate disabilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with classroom teachers and multidisciplinary teams
• Dedication to creating a positive, supportive classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student
• Partner with general education staff to foster inclusion and support diverse learners
• Track and assess student progress, adapting instruction to meet evolving needs
• Deliver direct, specialized instruction in a focused, supportive manner
• Maintain clear, ongoing communication with families and school staff regarding student growth
• Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to the wider team’s strategies
• Ensure all records, documentation, and compliance procedures are accurately maintained
