Special Education Teacher | Irving, Texas

Make a difference in the classroom by supporting elementary-aged students in a highly collaborative and rewarding environment! This long-term contract position offers the opportunity to serve as a Special Education Teacher at a vibrant elementary school near Irving, TX. You’ll be working full-time (37.5 hours per week), supporting just one school site for consistency and impact. Multiple roles are available to match your skills and passions, including CORE, Life Skills, Autism, Inclusion, and Early Childhood Special Education classrooms.

What you’ll need:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• Valid Texas Special Education (EC-12) teaching certificate
• Experience working with students in special education settings (strongly preferred)
• Ability to support diverse learning needs with patience, creativity, and a growth mindset
• Willingness to complete fingerprinting through TEA as required for credentialing

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering specially designed instruction in a classroom setting tailored to your caseload (e.g., Life Skills, Autism, Inclusion, or ECSE)
• Providing support for IEP development, progress monitoring, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Creating a welcoming and supportive classroom environment where every student has the opportunity to succeed
• Working closely with families, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to ensure comprehensive student support
• Participating in school-wide initiatives and ongoing professional development
