Key Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Special Education Teacher or Speech-Language Pathologist with early intervention credentials
- Experience delivering early intervention services, particularly in a homebound or community-based setting
- In-depth understanding of language instruction best practices for children with developmental delays or disabilities
- Strong communication abilities to collaborate effectively with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams
- Flexibility, empathy, and dedication to individualized instruction and holistic student development
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted language instruction tailored to each child's individualized education plan (IEP) in home and/or school environments
- Foster a positive, supportive learning atmosphere that promotes communication, social-emotional skills, and confidence
- Conduct ongoing assessments and document student progress to inform instructional strategies and IEP updates
- Engage families in the intervention process, offering support and strategies for language development in daily routines
- Collaborate with fellow educators, therapists, and administrators to ensure comprehensive support for each student
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal guidelines related to special education services
