Empower students of diverse backgrounds as a Special Education Teacher supporting charter schools and students within the Keene boundary. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work with learners ranging from 1st through 11th grade, across three dynamic school locations. Serving students in both elementary and high school settings, you’ll play a key role in shaping growth through individualized instruction and support.
Your expertise will help create inclusive, engaging learning environments that promote academic and social progress. Collaborate with dedicated educators, families, and staff to adapt curriculum, implement IEPs, and foster student success. You’ll experience firsthand the impact of nurturing and guiding students with varying abilities from early childhood up through adolescence.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current and valid New Hampshire teaching certification in Special Education (required)
- Experience providing specialized instruction to students across a range of grade levels (1st–11th)
- Ability to adapt to multiple building locations and work with diverse school communities
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with teachers, administrators, and families
- Commitment to on-site engagement (remote work is not available)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and small group instruction in accordance with students’ IEPs
- Design and implement lesson plans customized to students’ unique needs and goals
- Conduct progress monitoring and assessments to inform data-driven instruction
- Partner with general education teachers to integrate supports in inclusive settings
- Participate in IEP meetings and maintain documentation in compliance with regulations
- Contribute positively to school cultures in each assigned building
