Special Education Teacher - Jarrell, TX

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching credential/certification appropriate for the state.
• Experience supporting K-12 students with diverse learning and behavioral needs.
• Knowledge of IEP development, progress monitoring, and implementing modifications or accommodations.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with colleagues, families, and support staff.
• Ability to cultivate a positive, encouraging learning environment and manage a dynamic classroom.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging instruction tailored to students’ unique learning styles and needs.
• Develop, implement, and maintain Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as required.
• Work collaboratively with classroom teachers and specialists to adapt curriculum and instructional strategies.
• Assess and document student progress, providing regular feedback to parents and the educational team.
• Maintain compliance with special education laws, district policies, and best practices.
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing training initiatives as needed.
