Special Education Teacher | Jefferson, Massachusetts

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teaching License or eligibility in the state
• Experience working with elementary-age children, preferably in K-5
• Strong understanding of inclusion strategies and differentiated instruction
• Ability to modify curriculum and materials to support individual goals
• Excellent communication skills for working with students, families, and fellow educators
• Team-oriented and flexible, with a commitment to collaboration

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and group instruction to students with a range of abilities in an inclusive classroom
• Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to adapt lessons and assessments
• Maintain ongoing communication with parents and support staff
• Create a welcoming and supportive classroom environment
• Track student progress and document achievements
