We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate American Sign Language (ASL) Teacher to support a high school student who is Deaf. This role focuses on delivering ASL instruction, supporting access to curriculum, and empowering the student with strong communication and self-advocacy skills. The ASL Teacher will play a key role in fostering an inclusive learning environment and ensuring the student can fully participate in their educational experience.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct instruction in American Sign Language aligned with course curriculum

Support a Deaf high school student with language development and effective communication

Assist the student in building self-advocacy skills within the school setting

Collaborate with school staff to promote accessibility and inclusion

Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed
Requirements:

Active Oklahoma Teaching License with Mild/Moderate Endorsement (required)

Endorsement in Sign Language (preferred)

Minimum of 2 years of experience using or teaching American Sign Language (preferred)
