Key Qualifications:

  • Current Idaho State Teaching Certificate
  • Idaho Exceptional Child Certificate required
  • Special Education endorsement (SPED)
  • Previous experience working in resource or extended resource classrooms
  • Comfortable providing care, including assistance with toileting, for students with various needs
  • Strong ability to collaborate with staff, families, and support personnel

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized instruction based on students’ IEPs, adapting lessons to accommodate a range of abilities and exceptionalities
  • Support students across elementary through high school grades
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop strategies and interventions
  • Communicate regularly with parents/caregivers regarding progress and updates
  • Maintain detailed documentation and participate in IEP meetings
  • Create a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Assist students with daily living skills as needed and offer compassionate support
