Key Qualifications:
- Current Idaho State Teaching Certificate
- Idaho Exceptional Child Certificate required
- Special Education endorsement (SPED)
- Previous experience working in resource or extended resource classrooms
- Comfortable providing care, including assistance with toileting, for students with various needs
- Strong ability to collaborate with staff, families, and support personnel
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction based on students’ IEPs, adapting lessons to accommodate a range of abilities and exceptionalities
- Support students across elementary through high school grades
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop strategies and interventions
- Communicate regularly with parents/caregivers regarding progress and updates
- Maintain detailed documentation and participate in IEP meetings
- Create a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
- Assist students with daily living skills as needed and offer compassionate support
