Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification required
• Demonstrated experience working with students in grades K–5, 6–8, or 9–12
• Solid understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Ability to adapt curriculum and interventions to meet individual student needs
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster relationships with students, families, and colleagues
• Commitment to maintaining an inclusive, respectful learning atmosphere

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and tailor lesson plans based on students’ learning styles and abilities
• Administer and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Collaborate closely with regular education teachers, support staff, and administration
• Employ a variety of teaching techniques to maximize student engagement and success
• Track progress, prepare regular updates, and maintain detailed documentation
• Communicate consistently and effectively with families regarding student growth and challenges
