Openings for the upcoming academic year include:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder caseloads (K-3rd grade) in a communication and adaptive behavior program
  • Social, Emotional & Behavioral Needs caseloads (K-8th grade, with greatest need in grades 6-8) in a therapeutic program
  • Cross-Categorical caseloads (Early Childhood/Preschool) in a self-contained half-day program

Your expertise will help shape positive outcomes for students in dynamic, meaningful settings. Each position is full-time, with approximately 35 hours per week, and situated at well-respected local learning centers.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Professional Educator License with Special Education endorsement for Illinois (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Previous experience in special education settings—preferred, but not required
  • Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills
  • Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborative mindset to work with multidisciplinary teams, families, and support staff

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instruction based on students’ unique learning and behavioral needs
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture
  • Partner with general education teachers, therapists, and families for student success
  • Maintain accurate records and progress documentation
