Openings for the upcoming academic year include:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder caseloads (K-3rd grade) in a communication and adaptive behavior program
- Social, Emotional & Behavioral Needs caseloads (K-8th grade, with greatest need in grades 6-8) in a therapeutic program
- Cross-Categorical caseloads (Early Childhood/Preschool) in a self-contained half-day program
Your expertise will help shape positive outcomes for students in dynamic, meaningful settings. Each position is full-time, with approximately 35 hours per week, and situated at well-respected local learning centers.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Professional Educator License with Special Education endorsement for Illinois (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in special education settings—preferred, but not required
- Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborative mindset to work with multidisciplinary teams, families, and support staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction based on students’ unique learning and behavioral needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture
- Partner with general education teachers, therapists, and families for student success
- Maintain accurate records and progress documentation
