This position focuses on providing exceptional instructional support within co-teaching environments at the 6th and 7th-grade levels for both ELA and Math, collaborating closely with two fellow educators. This full-time role spans from August 19, 2026, through May 28, 2027, and follows a weekly schedule of 35 hours, with each workday beginning at 7:45 am. Compensation for this assignment ranges between $40 and $50 per hour, reflecting the specialized skills and commitment required for success.
Qualifications:
- Active Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Learning Behavior Specialist 1 (LBS1) endorsement required
- Experience in co-teaching and collaborative special education settings strongly preferred
- Ability to work effectively with middle school students, adapting instruction to varying educational needs
- Strong skills in differentiation, classroom management, and individualized education plan (IEP) implementation
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities with a commitment to inclusive practices
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate as part of a co-teaching team to deliver engaging ELA and Math instruction to 6th and 7th-grade students
- Participate in curriculum planning and adapt lessons to meet the diverse abilities of students with special needs
