Qualifications:

  • Current Special Education teaching certification
  • Experience teaching students in grades K-5, 6-8, or 9-12
  • Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
  • Adaptability and a compassionate, student-centered approach
  • Ability to manage and document student progress effectively

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instruction to students with diverse learning needs using evidence-based strategies
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for each student
  • Coordinate with general education teachers, aides, and related service providers to ensure appropriate accommodations
  • Assess student progress regularly and adjust instructional techniques as needed
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with special education regulations
  • Communicate progress and concerns with parents or guardians, involving them in the educational process
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture
