Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher (LBS1) for an onsite role in Joliet, Illinois for the 2026–2027 school year. Job details
This is a 2026–2027 school year contract position through Soliant Education. The role is fully onsite in Joliet, Illinois within a school-based setting. The pay range for this position is $39.25–$55.75 per hour. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, along with a 401(k) plan. Weekly pay is provided throughout the duration of the assignment.
Responsibilities
The Special Education Teacher will design and deliver instruction aligned with student IEP goals and state standards. Responsibilities include monitoring student progress, adjusting teaching strategies, and maintaining compliance with all special education regulations. The position also requires consistent communication with parents, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams. Additional duties may include classroom management, participation in meetings, and supporting behavioral interventions when needed.
Requirements
Candidates must hold an active Illinois Professional Educator License with an LBS1 endorsement. Prior experience working with students with disabilities in a school setting is strongly preferred. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage documentation effectively are essential for success in this role. Applicants should also demonstrate excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
