Special Education Teacher - Jonesville, South Carolina

Qualifications & Desired Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university is required
• Valid South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE) teaching license
• Proven experience or knowledge in special education methods and individualized instruction
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
• Passion for helping students achieve their maximum potential

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction and support to students with varying exceptionalities in accordance with IEP goals
• Develop, adapt, and modify instructional materials and lesson plans to meet student needs
• Assess and monitor students’ progress and adjust approaches as necessary
• Work closely with general education teachers, related service providers, and parents to coordinate student support
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessment results, IEP progress, and communications
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth
