Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Missouri Special Education Teacher credentials are required
• Demonstrated experience working with IEPs (Individualized Education Programs)
• Adaptability to various special education settings, including self-contained, resource, inclusion, and co-teaching classrooms
• Strong classroom management, organization, and communication skills
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive, and supportive classroom environment
• Ability to perform all duties typical to a Special Education Teacher, including planning, instruction, progress monitoring, and collaboration with support staff and families
• Enthusiastic work ethic, desire for professional growth, and a positive, solution-oriented mindset

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instruction and intervention based on students’ IEP goals
• Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusion and co-teaching environments
• Develop, implement, and update IEPs in alignment with state and federal guidelines
• Engage families and related service professionals in communication and problem-solving
• Maintain accurate documentation and records
