Special Education Teacher | Junction City, Kansas

With an immediate opening for two dedicated professionals, this contract opportunity allows you to make a direct impact as an Elementary Special Education Teacher/Case Manager for students in Kindergarten through 5th grade. Working in a collaborative educational setting near Junction City, you’ll support a diverse group of 17–20 students with mild to moderate needs through both instruction and individualized case management.

Your experience in managing IEP caseloads and providing resource/interrelated services will be central to helping each student reach their highest potential. The position follows a Monday to Friday schedule, approximately 7:45 AM to 3:25 PM, giving you a consistent workday and opportunities for meaningful connections with your students.

Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education, appropriate for K–5th grade
• Prior experience working with elementary-aged students with mild to moderate needs
• Demonstrated skill in IEP development, implementation, and ongoing management
• Ability to collaborate with general educators, specialists, and families
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining caseload records

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans for assigned students
• Deliver engaging instruction tailored to a range of learning needs within the resource/interrelated setting
• Provide case management support, ensuring IEP goals are monitored and updated as required
• Coordinate with classroom teachers and support staff for integrated student support
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation according to school and legal guidelines
