Special Education Teacher in Junction City, OR

Within the Intensive Services Program, you’ll lead a classroom designed for one to two students per room—ensuring you can offer both meaningful relationships and tailored instruction.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Current Special Education Teacher licensure
• Background in Life Skills Education or experience working with students with intellectual disabilities
• Familiarity with intensive behavioral intervention and support strategies
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families
• Strong communication, leadership, and classroom management skills

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instruction and create individualized educational plans for students with complex intellectual, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
• Serve as the instructional and behavioral leader, guiding a team of trained support staff
• Implement continuous positive behavior supports and data-driven interventions
• Coordinate programming, staff supervision, and maintain a safe, highly structured environment
• Develop collaborative relationships with families, support staff, and allied professionals
• Document and track student progress, adapting strategies as needed to promote positive outcomes

This is a full-time, 37.5-hour per week opportunity set in a classroom with consistent adult support.
