What You'll Need:

• Valid Kansas licensure in low incidence special education or unified licensure
• Experience teaching special education at the middle school level preferred
• Understanding of a range of disabilities and individualized instructional strategies
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with families, specialists, and team members

Your Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of eight students spanning grades 6–8 with varying learning needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and service providers to design and implement customized learning plans
• Deliver direct instruction spanning academic, social, and functional skills
• Assess ongoing student progress, adjust plans accordingly, and contribute to IEP meetings
• Foster a supportive classroom culture focused on creating opportunities for all students to thrive
• Maintain accurate records and comply with special education regulatory and documentation requirements
