K-12 Special Education Teacher Openings (Onsite) - Kansas City, KS

Position overview
Soliant Education is hiring onsite Special Education Teachers for the 2026–2027 school year in Kansas City, Kansas. This is an education industry position supporting diverse learners across multiple grade levels. These contract roles offer the opportunity to work closely with students, families, and school staff in a collaborative environment. The assignment begins in August 2027 and follows the academic calendar.

Openings and grade levels
There are multiple opportunities available across K–12 settings to match your experience and preferences. Current needs include 10 positions at the elementary level (K–5), 5 roles in middle school, and 4 openings at the high school level. Each placement provides the chance to contribute to individualized instruction and student development. Assignments are onsite and aligned with district needs.

Compensation and benefits
This is an hourly position with compensation based on your background in teaching. Educators with 0–3 years of experience can expect $30–$35 per hour, while those with 4–6 years may earn $36–$40 per hour. Candidates with 7 or more years of experience are eligible for $40–$45 per hour. Responsibilities
In this role, you will design and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs. You will collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support academic and behavioral growth. Ongoing assessment, progress monitoring, and documentation are key components of this position. You will also create an inclusive classroom environment that fosters engagement and independence.

Requirements
Applicants must hold a valid state teaching license with a specialization in special education or be eligible for certification in Kansas. Prior experience working with students with diverse learning needs is strongly preferred. Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt instructional strategies are essential for success in this role. Candidates should be comfortable working onsite and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
