Preferred Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience with high school aged students, ideally within Essential Life Skills or similar programs
• Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and progress monitoring
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and fellow staff
• Readiness to work onsite for the entire assignment

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support to a small caseload (7–9 students) focusing on Essential Life Skills development
• Develop and adapt instructional materials and lesson plans tailored to individual student needs
• Set measurable goals and assess student progress through data-driven strategies
• Proactively collaborate with related service providers and general education staff
• Facilitate positive behavior interventions to cultivate a safe and productive classroom environment
• Engage with families and guardians to ensure students’ educational and personal goals are supported both in and out of school

This position offers a consistent weekly schedule of 37.5 hours and the rewarding experience of building meaningful connections within a supportive school setting.
