Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience with high school aged students, ideally within Essential Life Skills or similar programs
- Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and fellow staff
- Readiness to work onsite for the entire assignment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to a small caseload (7–9 students) focusing on Essential Life Skills development
- Develop and adapt instructional materials and lesson plans tailored to individual student needs
- Set measurable goals and assess student progress through data-driven strategies
- Proactively collaborate with related service providers and general education staff
- Facilitate positive behavior interventions to cultivate a safe and productive classroom environment
- Engage with families and guardians to ensure students’ educational and personal goals are supported both in and out of school
This position offers a consistent weekly schedule of 37.5 hours and the rewarding experience of building meaningful connections within a supportive school setting.
