Special Education (SPED) Teacher (Full-Time)

Location: Kansas City, MO
Soliant is partnering with a school district in Kansas City, Missouri to hire full-time Special Education (SPED) Teachers for immediate openings. The district is actively interviewing qualified candidates and is prepared to make offers quickly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs
  • Provide specialized instruction in both self-contained and resource classroom settings
  • Adapt curriculum and instructional methods to support student success
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and support staff
  • Monitor and document student progress, maintaining compliance with state and federal guidelines
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student performance and goals
  • Foster a supportive, inclusive, and structured learning environment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field
  • Valid Missouri teaching license in Special Education
  • Successful completion of background check and drug screening
  • Previous school-based experience preferred but not required
  • Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills

Position Details

  • Full-time, immediate start
