Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher for a full-time, school-based opportunity in the Kansas City, Missouri area for the 2026-2027 school year. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting students with diverse learning needs while collaborating with educators, administrators, and families to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and implement individualized instruction based on students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
Create and maintain IEPs in compliance with federal, state, and district guidelines
Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and support staff
Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
Participate in IEP meetings, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities

QUALIFICATIONS
Active Missouri Special Education teaching certification or eligibility to obtain certification
Previous school-based or Special Education experience preferred
Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or related field required
Master's Degree preferred
