Key Qualifications:

  • Current Wisconsin Cross-Categorical Special Education Teacher certification (License #2801) is required.
  • Demonstrated experience working with students on the autism spectrum is highly valued.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with general education teachers, support personnel, parents, and administration.
  • Ability to adapt instruction to meet the unique needs of each student within a cross-categorical classroom.
  • Previous experience in middle and/or high school special education settings is a plus.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students with multiple and varied disabilities.
  • Provide targeted instruction, modifications, and behavioral supports for middle school and high school students in a collaborative environment.
  • Work with multidisciplinary teams to monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed.
  • Engage in ongoing communication with families and encourage their participation in the educational process.
  • Support the creation of a positive, inclusive classroom culture promoting academic, emotional, and social growth for all students.

This contract role runs from August 18, 2026, through June 10, 2027, promising opportunities for professional growth and the satisfaction of making a lasting difference in the lives of students.
