Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Holds a valid Wisconsin Cross-Categorical Special Education certification (License #2801)
- Demonstrated expertise working with high school students in special education
- Extensive experience supporting students on the autism spectrum
- Flexible, resourceful, and enthusiastic about teaching students with a range of mild-to-moderate disabilities, including learning disabilities, emotional behavioral disorders, and mild intellectual disabilities
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
Responsibilities:
- Deliver instruction and interventions to students with varied special needs in a cross-categorical setting
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, ensuring individualized learning goals are met
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that accommodates all learners
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, related service providers, and families to support student growth
- Utilize evidence-based strategies to support both academic and behavioral success
- Participate in professional development and ongoing program improvement initiatives
