This contract role is ideal for educators who have experience managing and supporting students with significant behavioral needs. You’ll work with a small cohort of four students in grades 1 through 3, designing engaging lessons and implementing effective behavioral interventions to promote student success.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher.
  • Demonstrated experience working with students exhibiting severe behavioral challenges.
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training strongly preferred.
  • Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique needs.
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with administrators, parents, and support staff.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction and behavioral support for four elementary students with severe behavioral needs.
  • Implement and document evidence-based behavioral interventions and accommodations.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and specialized staff to support each student’s academic and social-emotional growth.
  • Monitor, document, and report progress on IEP goals and behavioral objectives.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment while ensuring student safety and well-being.
  • Engage proactively with families and care teams to create consistency and effective communication.
