Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education (SPED EC-12) certification required
• High School Math certification required
• Experience working in a self-contained classroom preferred
• Skilled in adapting math curriculum for diverse learning needs
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Passion for advocating on behalf of students with differing abilities

Responsibilities:

• Teach high school math in a self-contained special education classroom
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student
• Adapt instructional methods to address a variety of learning styles and needs
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
• Work collaboratively with fellow educators, administrators, and families to enhance student learning outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district and state regulations
