Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Washington State Special Education Teacher certification required
  • Experience in designing and implementing IEPs
  • Strong classroom management skills and adaptability
  • Ability to collaborate closely with educators, support staff, and families
  • Familiarity with a variety of disabilities among middle school-aged students
  • Commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for diverse learners

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver individualized instruction to students with a range of disabilities
  • Manage a caseload, including IEP creation, progress monitoring, and meeting legal requirements
  • Utilize data-driven strategies to tailor instruction and maximize student achievement
  • Foster inclusive classroom practices that encourage student engagement and independence
  • Coordinate and communicate with parents, related service providers, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain appropriate documentation and participate in team meetings as needed
