Special Education Teacher | Kenner, Louisiana

The position is full-time, with a commitment of 35 hours weekly (7 hours per day with a 30-minute unpaid lunch), spanning from ASAP through May 27, 2027.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Louisiana Department of Education teaching certificate with Special Education endorsement (SPED), required
• Must not hold or be pursuing a TA or TAT credential; only fully licensed educators will be considered
• Thorough understanding of special education practices and the ability to provide tailored instruction and accommodations
• Willingness to complete time-sensitive credentialing, including drug screening and fingerprinting
• Professional experience in a school setting strongly preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction and support to students with diverse needs (caseload specifics and assigned schools to be determined)
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and district regulations regarding SPED services
• Monitor student progress, document outcomes, and adjust intervention strategies as necessary
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages student growth and development
