You’ll work onsite with a diverse caseload, drawing on your adaptability and commitment to student growth from August 2026 through May 2027.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Louisiana Educator Certificate required
- Preference for candidates with a Special Education Educator Certificate, but open to those holding an Elementary Grades 1-5 Certificate
- Ability to work confidently in a variety of educational settings
- Experience working with students who have special needs is highly valued
- Strong communication, flexibility, and collaboration skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s strengths and needs
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages learning and growth
- Assess student progress and adapt instructional strategies as needed
- Serve as a resource for general education teachers and staff regarding best practices in special education
- Engage with families to provide regular updates and support
- Maintain accurate student records and stay current with all documentation requirements
