Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active Louisiana Educator Certificate required
• Special Education Educator Certificate strongly preferred; candidates with Elementary 1-5 Certificate will be considered
• Experience working with elementary students in a self-contained or resource setting is a plus
• Strong communication, classroom management, and collaboration skills
• Passion for creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment

Responsibilities:

• Lead instruction in a self-contained special education classroom, adapting lessons to meet students’ individual education plans (IEPs)
• Develop and implement differentiated instructional strategies that foster academic and social-emotional growth
• Collaborate with related service providers, classroom staff, and families to promote student success
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, IEP goals, and required reports
• Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and ongoing school activities
