Key Qualifications:

  • Valid certification in Special Education (appropriate for 3rd grade)
  • Experience or strong interest in working with elementary-aged students
  • Ability to adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff and families
  • Understanding of IEP processes and requirements

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique needs
  • Deliver engaging lessons that foster growth in both academic and social areas
  • Modify curriculum and utilize strategies to ensure student participation and progress
  • Track and document student progress, goals, and benchmarks
  • Collaborate closely with general education teachers, paraeducators, therapists, and families
  • Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and staff professional development
  • Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment

Role Details:

  • Caseload: 8-10 students
  • Daily Schedule: 7:50 AM – 3:50 PM
  • Contract duration: August 24th, 2026, through the school year
