Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification in Special Education (appropriate for 3rd grade)
- Experience or strong interest in working with elementary-aged students
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff and families
- Understanding of IEP processes and requirements
Position Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique needs
- Deliver engaging lessons that foster growth in both academic and social areas
- Modify curriculum and utilize strategies to ensure student participation and progress
- Track and document student progress, goals, and benchmarks
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, paraeducators, therapists, and families
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and staff professional development
- Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment
Role Details:
- Caseload: 8-10 students
- Daily Schedule: 7:50 AM – 3:50 PM
- Contract duration: August 24th, 2026, through the school year
