Your expertise as a School-Based Special Education Teacher with proficiency in sign language interpreting will help bridge communication, foster learning, and promote inclusion. Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid credentials and experience as a Special Education Teacher
• Current EIPA score of at least 3.5, though a 3.3 will also be considered
• Demonstrated ability to interpret one-on-one for elementary-aged students
• Commitment to working onsite with full-time weekday availability
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with both staff and students
• Passion for supporting children with diverse learning needs

Responsibilities:

• Interpret and facilitate communication between an elementary student and staff during classroom instruction, activities, and daily interactions
• Assist the instructional team in ensuring a fully inclusive educational experience for the student
• Adapt communication strategies to meet the individual needs of the student in real-time
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
• Support the development of the student’s confidence and independence within the classroom setting
