Special Education Teacher - Kershaw, SC

Desired Experience & Qualifications

• Valid South Carolina Special Education Teacher License
• Multi-categorical or other required SPED certifications
• EC certification or endorsement
• Experience working with students in moderate, resource, or multi-cat settings preferred
• Expertise in adapting curriculum and individualized instruction
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Flexibility to work with different age ranges: PreK, elementary, middle, and high school
• Willingness to work onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality instruction in special education classrooms
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, staff, and support personnel
• Communicate regularly with families and stakeholders
• Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all students
• Maintain accurate records and timely documentation
