Special Education Teacher | Killeen, Texas

This full-time role (40 hours per week) extends through the 2025-2027 school years and offers multiple openings throughout the district for educators certified in Special Education, EC-12. Teachers will be thoughtfully placed according to both district needs and their own unique certifications and experiences.

Position Qualifications:

• Valid Texas Teaching Certification
• Special Education, EC-12 certification is required
• Additionally, must hold at least one of the following:
    - EC-6 Core Subjects
    - 4-8 Generalist
    - 9-12 specific subject area
• Previous classroom teaching experience preferred
• Dedication to fostering inclusive, equitable learning environments

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, individualized instruction to students with diverse learning needs
• Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with other educators and families
• Adapt curriculum and classroom activities for varying academic and behavioral needs
• Track student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and communicate regularly with stakeholders
• Foster a collaborative, supportive, and engaging classroom culture
