Exciting opportunity for a skilled onsite Special Education Teacher to make a meaningful difference in the life of an elementary student. This full-time, contract role (40 hours per week) centers on providing one-on-one interpreting support, ensuring a tailored, inclusive educational experience.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid credential as a Special Education Teacher.
  • Previous experience supporting elementary-aged children in a school environment.
  • A minimum EIPA score of 3.5 is required; candidates with a 3.3 EIPA score will also be considered.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with staff, students, and families.
  • Professionalism and adaptability working within an educational team.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 onsite interpreting for an elementary school student during all instructional hours.
  • Work collaboratively with classroom teachers to ensure academic content is accessible.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all educational procedures and legal requirements.
  • Support the student’s social participation and integration within the school community.
  • Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development as needed.
  • Document services and student progress as directed.
