Desired Qualifications:
- Valid credential as a Special Education Teacher.
- Previous experience supporting elementary-aged children in a school environment.
- A minimum EIPA score of 3.5 is required; candidates with a 3.3 EIPA score will also be considered.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with staff, students, and families.
- Professionalism and adaptability working within an educational team.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 onsite interpreting for an elementary school student during all instructional hours.
- Work collaboratively with classroom teachers to ensure academic content is accessible.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all educational procedures and legal requirements.
- Support the student’s social participation and integration within the school community.
- Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development as needed.
- Document services and student progress as directed.
