Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by providing specialized instruction and support in a full-time Special Education teaching role. This opportunity calls for a dedicated educator with experience or interest in Life Skills classrooms at either the middle school (6th–8th grade) or high school (9th–12th grade) levels. The position is structured as a 37.5-hour per week contract, fostering a supportive environment near Kingston, NH.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • State certification as a Special Education Teacher (or eligibility)
  • Prior experience working with middle school or high school students preferred
  • Strong understanding of individualized instruction, IEP implementation, and progress monitoring
  • Ability to develop and modify curriculum to address a range of learning and behavioral needs
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
  • Flexibility and commitment to fostering inclusion and student independence

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement effective lesson plans in a Life Skills classroom setting
  • Create a nurturing, safe, and structured classroom environment aligned to student IEP goals
  • Modify instructional methodologies and materials to accommodate diverse learning needs
  • Utilize data-driven approaches for academic, functional, and behavioral interventions
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate services and supports
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and goals
