Special Education Teacher - Kingstree, South Carolina

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification/license in South Carolina (required—no exceptions)
• Experience working with early childhood or self-contained special education settings preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt instructional methods to individual student needs
• Compassionate, patient, and creative problem-solver

Main Responsibilities:

• Manage and instruct a self-contained caseload at an early childhood center
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Employ evidence-based teaching strategies to address students’ academic, behavioral, and social needs
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
• Collaborate with general education staff, therapists, and families
• Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment

Position Details:

• Contract position through academic year 2026–2027, ending May 21, 2027
• Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours per week (7:15 a.m.–2:45 p.m.)
• Pay: This opportunity offers a competitive hourly rate of $82.50.
