Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility) for Tennessee
• Previous experience in a school-based Special Education setting
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to develop and implement IEPs
• Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive educational environment
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet student needs
• Collaborative mindset for working with educators, support staff, and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess students’ academic and behavioral needs and craft individualized learning plans
• Deliver engaging instruction using a variety of strategies tailored to students’ strengths and challenges
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and administrators
• Communicate regularly with families to support student success
• Participate in IEP meetings and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Foster a safe, respectful classroom atmosphere conducive to learning and growth
