Step into a rewarding role supporting elementary learners as a Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year. Shape foundational skills in a small classroom setting, working with five students in early childhood through 6th grade, two of whom require more functional support than traditional life skills assistance.

Your day will run from 7:45 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The focus is on fostering independence, growth, and inclusion for students with unique needs. Active participation in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings is essential, as your expertise will directly contribute to individualized education plans and team decision-making.

Key Qualifications:

• Current Texas Educator License with both Special Education and Core/Generalist endorsements.
• Demonstrated experience with Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings.
• Deep understanding of foundational learning and life skills instruction for students in grades EC-6.
• Commitment to following professional dress code policies, including appropriate attire, hair color, discreet earrings, and no visible tattoos.
• Strong communication skills, empathy, and adaptability to support diverse learners.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement tailored lesson plans focusing on functional and life skills.
• Collaborate with support staff and families to address students’ developmental and educational goals.
• Take an active role during ARD meetings, contributing insights and documenting student progress.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that celebrates every child’s achievements.
• Uphold all district and classroom expectations for professionalism and community standards.
